Are people rude? Do you think it's because we are so out of touch that we are not aware of what's happening to our fellow human beings?
We are so plugged in to devices: players, phones, laptops, mini-computers, and our own thoughts, we don't always "see" what's going on around us.
And then there are those people who love to ruin your day just because.

1st Annual Fall Writing Contest
Here are the Guidelines:
1) Must be 10 years of age or older.
2) Must have manuscript of 2,000 words or less.
3) Manuscripts must have a fall theme (changing color of the leaves, Halloween, etc.).
4) All entries must have contact information on the title page.
5) Entry fee of $10 must accompany each manuscript.
DEADLINE: OCTOBER 30, 2009.
Winners and prizes announced on November 15, 2009.

Yes, it's true.
Finally, the websites are up. Notice I didn't say "Finished". No website is really ever "finished." You are constantly tweaking and improving them all the time. But they are up and live and running and soon I will have things set for newsletters and other fun events.
