It Costs Nothing to Be Kind

Are people rude? Do you think it's because we are so out of touch that we are not aware of what's happening to our fellow human beings?

We are so plugged in to devices: players, phones, laptops, mini-computers, and our own thoughts, we don't always "see" what's going on around us.

And then there are those people who love to ruin your day just because.

If you see someone who needs help today, please, take a moment and help them. Hold the door for someone who has a lot of packages or small children. Pick up someone's bag if they drop it and give it back. And smile! We get so wrapped up in what other people can do for us we don't think we have to give before we receive.

Kindness is free. Give it wherever you go.

So true!

The advent of anonymity online has turned some people into cyber troublemakers and bullies. Ironically, they might hold the door open for someone at church with a smile, but go home and trash someone behind the cloak of cyberspace.

Thanks for the reminder about kindness!
